Caroline Robin is an artist, engineer, multi-instrumentalist and researcher based in Seattle, WA and New York, NY.
Working across cello, piano, bass, guitar and synthesizer, she explores how sensing and perception shape the way we make and experience music, and how that understanding can serve both performance and recovery. Her current projects explore brain-computer music interfaces and other applications that turn live EEG signals and other biometric data into sound, which she has performed for numerous audiences.
With a background spanning software and hardware engineering, signal processing, AI, wireless energy transfer, and studio and live sound engineering, she brings a builder's curiosity to questions about the mind, the body and music. She is a resident producer and engineer at Open Space for Arts & Community on Vashon Island, and is pursuing graduate coursework at the University of Washington and Berklee College of Music.
